All drugs are equal

Alcohol is the crudest drug

It allows me to be rude

It doesn't take away my inhibitions

It crushes them to death

And when they're not encouraging me to drink

They're monitoring my breath

And killing what little social life I had

before things went bad

and I couldn't have five beers

before a night out with my peers

it's promise of fraternity a lie.

When I tie one on

All I want to do is punch someone out

and flout the laws of society

as if they meant nothing to me,

otherwise a wise and law abiding citizen

oh pity me.

But what about all the other drugs

alcohols' for mugs

when I feel oblivion's tug

when I want to cut a rug

when I feel so all alone

give me the Queen of drugs-methaqualone.

I defer to Aldous Huxley

in this brand new world of pleasure

soma soma soma is what I shout

let me out let me out let me out

or as many Mandies as it takes

for me to totally obliterate my sense of self.

Let's get real

let's start to evaluate

let's start to rate drugs according to their effects

and how people are affected

demented

driven out of their minds-reinvented

by all kinds of stuff substances and pursuits

from datura to Diazapam

Coke might be the real thing

but ice might be nicer

smack me down if I'm wrong

but heroin might be too strong

magic mushrooms are fully magic

and I've heard ecstasy can be ecstatic

meow meow and cannabinoid variants

are all in the mix of my experience

and when they ask what is my preference

I love them all and can't tell the difference.

All drugs are equal in my society

what I protest

is my sobriety.
